DESCRIPTION
For the Raj Gonds, one of Asia's most ancient tribes; Gussadi is not just a tribal dance - it's a sacred tradition.
A six year long exhaustive study at some of the most isolated places in Northern Telangana, has culminated in a window into the mystical world of Gussards; presented in the form of a documentary, a photo essay book and now an exhibition of prints.
As urbanisation creeps in and affects the cultural lifestyles and geography of the region, it will take conscious effort on our part to document and encourage the preservation of the traditions of these tribes.
