About the Artist
Born in 1965. A gold medallist from the Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, she also obtained an MFA degree in Painting at East Carolina University, North Carolina, where she was awarded the Gravely Foundation Scholarship and the Liquitex Excellence in Art Award. In 2001-02, she was awarded the Jerome Foundation - Women's Art Registry of Minnesota Scholarship.
She has held several solo exhibitions and participated in several curated exhibitions in India and overseas, including exhibitions at The Greenville Museum of Art in North Carolina, and at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Mumbai. Her works have been a part of Art Dubai and of several editions of the India Art Fair, Delhi.

Acrylic on canvas is a technique that uses acrylic paint applied to a canvas surface using tools such as brushes and palette knives to spread the paint. Acrylic paint is a man-made liquid plastic which thins with water and air dries quickly.
