DESCRIPTION
Malakpet was famous for the Racecourse situated there which indicates Hyderabad's racing tradition back to more than hundred years. The Racecourse was built by the sixth Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Khan in 1886 A.D. Earlier, it was at Maula Ali racecourse. In 1886, the Nizam who wanted it close to his residence thus shifted to Malakpet.
